Spend about 5 minutes reading and
re-reading the question until you understand all parts of the task.

2. You should only spend
about 20 minutes in writing the essay. As you have already planned and
prepared your layout in the first five minutes, you will now need only 20
minutes to write.

Spend about 5 minutes to check your
response. Use the criteria check list below to check the essay.

4. Check the
punctuations.
|

5.
Check the articles and its
appropriateness.
|
|
6. Check spellings.
|
|
7.
Check paragraphing.
|

8. Check and change
usual vocabulary into unusual vocabulary.

9.
Check the subject and verb agreement.

10. Check all the first
letters in each sentence. It should only begin with a capital (uppercase)
letter.

12. Check appropriateness
of the meaning or words you have used in the essay.

Check the logical connections among
sentences in paragraph and paragraphs on the whole.

14. Read the introduction
and conclusion you have written and ensure they don’t contradict each other
or differ in opinion.

15.
Make sure you have written about 250 to
300 words on the whole.
|
|
16. Make sure your
handwriting is clear and legible.
|
|
17.
Make sure your argument is logically
universal and appealing to the reader.
|
|
18. Make sure you have
written at least 2 – 4 complex sentences in the essay which ranges from 30 –
60 words in one sentence.

|
19.
Make sure you have used a few passive
voices sentences to indicate your knowledge in various types of
sentences.
|
|
20. As you have taken
only 30 minutes on the whole for writing this task, you have saved about 10
minutes. This saved time should be used for writing task 1, if needed, as
some tasks 1 in writing test in IELTS – such as graph or process diagram –
takes more time for you to comprehend.

Cohesion
refers to the way we use vocabulary and grammatical structures to
make connections between the ideas within a text. It provides flow and
sequence to your work and helps make your paragraphs clear for the reader. |
